5 Reasons Not To Miss Winter Social Festival
This weekend on the 6th of February the long awaited second edition of the Winter Social Festival will take place. Winter Social is a spin-off of the Social Fest, the yearly recurring festival organised by Nic Fanciulli. The Social originally launched on the 28th September 2013 and closed the summer in style, bringing a taste of Ibiza to the south east of England with a line-up of the world’s most discerning electronic music talent. The boutique music festival now holds its second winter escape for those unwilling to wait for the warmer months to get those festival kicks. Showcasing some of the world’s most high profile dance music acts in the idyllic setting of the Kent County Showground in Maidstone, Kent, The Winter Social has everything in store for the perfect off-season festival experience.
#5 The festival site is only a stone’s throw away from London
Londoners don’t need to go far from home to be a part of Winter Social. Both train and car will take you to the Kent County Showground in approximately one and a half hour. For travel info, click here.
#4 There is a challenge 25+ policy
Youngsters will have a tough time getting into The Winter Social, because just like their summer edition, there will a strict age policy at the door – bad news for the early bloomers but usually well appreciated by the more experienced clubber/festival goer. More info on what the challenge 25+ policy entails can be found here.
#3 Part of the proceeds will be donated to charity
Party while making the world a little bit better, as a share of the earnings of the festival will be donated to Sense, a charity that helps deaf and blind children counter the big and everyday challenges they face.
#2 The Social has proven they know how to create a massive festival experience
Best to let last year’s after movie speak for this one.
#1 A top of the bill line-up showcasing the best in House and Techno
But what really sets the event apart is the undeniable star-packed line up that you won’t on many occasions during the winter months. Music lovers will be treated to the finest music by masters of the decks such as Innervisions’ Ame, techno ambassador Nina Kraviz, Viva Warriors boss Steve Lawler, the Social’s originator Nic Fanciulli, Maya Jane Coles, Guy Gerber, Dutch veteran Joris Voorn, the one and only Eats Everything, and many more. For us, these artists a alone are reason enough to take the trip to Kent this weekend.
