A week full of amazing parties during world’s biggest Club Festival. It might be a tough decision sometimes to choose where to go, so if you haven’t made up your mind yet, we have a list of tips. 3 to 4 events a day that are ADE essentials in our view. Go check it out and go get those tickets, before it sells out and you miss everything… Oohh noooo!
Wednesday 16 – 10
With Julio Bashmore headlining this first ADE event in Trouw and Cinnaman playing all night long in ‘De Verdieping’, it is set to be a very special one. With these artists at such a special location it can’t go wrong. Also check out Funkineven, a little tip.
Another good way to start your ADE is at BARKODE with New York’s talented Walker & Royce. These two fellas make some awesome music and it will be their first time in Europe.. Alongside them, Nhan Solo will bring some happiness to the party and the upcoming Amsterdam producers of Cleavage will do a refreshing LIVE show.
STIL VOR TALENT
The popular german label from Oliver Koletzki is still doing a great job release fresh music. With Kellerkind, HVOB Nicone & Sascha Braemer they will bring some easy start up tunes for a refreshing start of your ADE.
Thursday 17 – 10
One of the most forward-thinking labels at the moment, that brought some amazing music to our ears last year with releases from Agoria, Ten Walls, Jon Charnis, Konstantin Sibold and more. With Dixon, Ten Walls (LIVE), AME, Konstantin Sibold, Culoe de Song and Gerd Janson playing this amazing venue, Trouw, the magic has already made its entry before the night has even started. Innervisions has proven to host some of the most amazing parties in different places and continues to do so, together with Lost in a Moment.
ALL GONE PETE TONG
Pete Tong was already spinning Vinyl’s when most of today’s young cats were still spinning rounds on a tricycle. Bringing over three decades of DJing experience into the game, Pete Tong knows how to properly rock a crowd. But Pete is not the only one playing, Pete will bring along some of Britain’s younger lads such as fellow Londoner Skream, Ben Pearce from Manchester and the aspiring Berlin-based talent Tensnake. In Area 2 we welcome the forward-thinking label Moda Black, who bring Shadow Child, Walker & Royce and more.
WISDOM OF THE GLOVE
Guy Gerber has just finished his residency over summer in Ibiza at Pacha. With his Wisdom Of The Glove concept he invited some of the most incredible artists from this moment. Some of these artist he will bring along to his ADE party. in collaboration with DGTL, an organization that is taking some big leaps at the moment. Guy brings the always innovating Four Tet (LIVE), the fresh DJ Koze, the consistent Martin Buttrich and more.
When visiting a Crew Love party in New York during 2012’s New Year’s Eve, I was sold. The vibe and the whole family feeling they bring is something difficult to create. With Soul Clap, Wolf+Lamb, Pillowtalk (LIVE) and disco kings Todd Terje and Prins Thomas you can’t go wrong here. Then at last the event is also hosted by Dekmantel, one of the best organisations operating in Amsterdam.
Friday 18 – 10
The line up says enough already but the location is something else too, an old warehouse outside the city centre of Amsterdam, reminiscent of how it all started back in the day in Detroit and Manchester. Visionquest and One Records have their own area where they will showcase their greatest artists, resulting in a fingerlickin’ line up; featuring Visionquest’s head honcho Seth Troxler, the funkadelic Benoit & Sergio and b2b duo Ryan Crosson & Shaun Reeves. At the One Records stage Subb-an and Adam Shelton will be tearing the house down along with John Dimas. Amsterdam is also well-represented, with William Kouam Djoko in the Visionquest corner and Boris Werner at One Records. A treat that you won’t forget for while..
ELLUM & LIFE and DEATH
2 favorites collaborating at an outstanding location. Less raw then ‘Roest Warehouse’ but unique in its own way on the waters from Amsterdam with a breathtaking view. The line up is also amazing to say the least. With Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, Danny Daze, Mind Against, Aril Brikha, Dj Tennis, Clocwork, Pepe Bradock and many more, you will be treated to a party that will stay in your mind for a while. The music these labels bring forward is definitely a sound that we will hear more and more. We would describe it as Future Music..
The amazingly rapid rise of Hot Creations, founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, has resulted in many great hostings and events. Their newest party-cracker, ‘Paradise’ is the new hit, bringing the sexy back in electronic. Their residency at Ibiza’s DC-10 has shown some of the best line ups on the island and haven’t brought any less for ADE. Jamie Jones comes with Innervision’s AME, The Martinez Brothers, hit duo Infinity Ink, bomb dropping Richy Ahmed, steady Russ Yallop and the extravagant wAFF.. A cool mixture that will keep it interesting along the night.. Also the location will do great in this musical environment.
Saturday 19 – 10
The Berlin Label Exploited spares neither trouble nor expense in order to unite a delicious cross-section of innovative electronic talent in a hot auditory melting-pot. On October 19th, they are tossing their musical spearhead containing 12 Exploited DJ’s from all over the world at ADE again. Be there when the Exploited DJ gang, with names like Adana Twins, Doctor Dru, Claptone, Kyodai, Homework, Joyce Muniz and more tears apart ‘De Balie’ in Amsterdam and find out which ingredients compose the unique flavour of Exploited’s electronical recipe.
On Saturday we’ll see the world-famous party instigator We Love.. take over AIR Amsterdam, to bring you one hell of a blow-out filled with the very finest in House music. We Love.. have been at the epicenter of the electronic music scene for over fifteen years now. They are hailed for their legendary recurring Sunday parties at Space Ibiza. For ADE they bring some of the best-delivering artists from last year; the main stage, hosted by Snowbombing, will have TEED, Cajmere, Benoit & Sergio and special guest Duke Dumont residing in the booth. The second area, which is hosted by Future Disco, have elected Greg Wilson, PBR Streetgang, Sean Brosnan and Matty J. as their house representatives.
Probably this year’s best delivering organization in Amsterdam and beyond. They were already doing great things before this summer, but with their Festival this year they rose to a whole new level. Being able to compete with the worlds biggest events around, by showcasing some legends alongside up and coming future heroes. For ADE they have a mind blowing 4-day program again and for this edition they invited Nina Kraviz, Bicep, Moodymann, Space Dimension Controller, Vakula, Juju & Jordash and Makam to rock the floor. The Dekmantel boys will also play some records themselves as Dekmantel Soundsystem.
Sunday 20 – 10
TROUW OP ZONDAG
That last day of ADE is always difficult, but for Trouw loyalists this is different; always packed and an amazing vibe at the nostalgic club, which is a favorite to many of the biggest international artists. Favorites from us for this night are Mano Le Tough, San Soda, Hunee, Job Jobse, William Kouam Djoko and Melon. Many other great artists will perform this night as well. It will be something special, that is for sure..
We will close our Sunday with a Deep House Amsterdam event, showcasing the remarkable label Needwant. They brought forward and featured some high quality artists like Ejeca, Mario Basanov, Kim Ann Foxman, Maxxi Soundsystem, The Revenge, Urulu and more. Mario Basanov and Ejeca will be playing this night with us and also The Mekanism will be joining. Next to this we bring some of our own dutch talent as well. Prunk, PONY and Elias Mazian are 3 artists that are up for big things next year and all three will be playing either at BE-AT.TV or Boiler Room during ADE. For the icing on the cake we bring Jay West, an Argentinean that has been producing for a while and has proven to rock different styles, never failing to let his crowds go mental.
Last but not least, the showcasing of house label Wolf Music with Session Victim (Live), Detroit Swindle, Medlar, Frits Wentink, KRL and more. This heavy weight line-up will take over both ‘Club Up’ and ‘De Kring’. The Dutch duo Detroit Swindle is one of the most respected names in today’s scene and also Frits Wentink is making some great progress. Session Victim is a duo you all should know about, having made some amazing music for a while now.
We hope to have given you some sense of direction in the jungle of different events that are bound to take place this week. We’re psyched and hope you are too. Have a great ADE everybody. Catch you on the dancefloor!
