What Dance Did Right: Nils Frahm, Woodkid & Robert De Niro Team Up For Refugees

Ellis, a mini-LP from the collaborative team of Nils Frahm, Woodkid, and Robert De Niro, will release on 8 July (pre order) with all proceeds going towards Sea Watch initiative.

Inspired by the current refugee crisis, the mini LP and accompanying short film is described by Frahm as “Robert says it all in 17 minutes. We are not facing a refugee crisis. We are facing a crisis because we do not embrace, we do not sympathise and we cannot give up fear. Art can encourage so I hope this project will help fight the fear in all of us.”

Directed by artist JR, stars De Niro as an immigrant who wanders through New York City’s Ellis Island. The accompanying soundtrack also features spoken word contributions from De Niro.
