The second podcast out of a series we do in collaboration with DGTL Festival.
After Nicone we now have our dutch pride Prunk delivering a more funky/disco set for you.
On the 30th of March ‘DGTL Festival’ will take place for the first time at the NDSM Wharf with a massive line-up. After a successful collaboration between Pleinvrees & Straf_werk at ADE it was now time to create something new. With names such as Ame, Joy Orbison, Agoria, Damian Lazarus, Oliver Koletzki, Huxley, HNQO, Prunk and Dj Koze DGTL sets out a line up that shows talent, diversity and high quality electronic music in general.
Prunk is the one to watch at the moment. It seems like everything what this young man touches turns into gold. Playing at all the prestigious events with names such as Jamie Jones, Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, David August, Amine Edge and much more, this is just the beginning. He is a resident at one of the most growing organisations at the moment, Straf_werk and will play on the 4th of April in Moscow. This summer he plays at several showcases at Sonar in Barcelona in June and many other big events/festivals coming up for this young shining star. Lets name, ‘Open Air Festival’, where he plays alongside Danny Daze, Laura Jones, Finnebassen, Dusky and Hot Since 82, not the least names in the scene.
Prunk recently started his own event ‘Windmill’ and with the first edition being a huge succes, this project also seems to succeed for him. With the first edition getting Jordan Peak, Jay Tripwire and Dale Howard to Amsterdam, he is not just following the line of what is in at the moment, but combines the oldschool with the new stuff. Next edition, Genius of Time, Nicholas and Harry Wolffman will make their appearance at the 2nd Windmill on the 26th of April in Club Air. Some very promising names as well.
His last EP got support from names like wAFF, Richy Achmed, Robert Owens, Dusky and David Keno. Also he will have a 4 track EP coming up on the English label, Electronique, who are bringing forward some big names. Another EP will appear on his newest project, Double Tree Records. Prunk and me (Lex) run this label together and are very excited about it! We recently had our first release from a very big talent, Luis Leon. He is a very gifted guy and we are proud to have him on our team. Besides Luis we have some very promising artists coming up. Stay posted and keep an eye on Prunk.
For now enjoy this special deep funky mix by him!
