Our newest mix series edition comes from this Swiss raised bearded man – DJ and producer Mirko Loko, who delivers us with a delightfully acidic mix. A smooth blend of soulful jazz melodies, catchy piano chords and brass concertos with an extraterrestrial distortion.
Having begun his residency in the local clubs of Lausanne back in the 90’s, Loko has been a great contender in the club scene for many years now. His early works balance in-between jacked-up house and Detroit infused techno.
Loko was whipped up by swiss radio station Couleur3 for his mixing as well as assisting them for programme planning. His efforts were further recognised by Montreux Jazz Festival, where he worked in curating the electronic programme of the festival.
Mirko Loko’s discography is one to boast. Mirko released his second album back in 2015 “Comet Plan” on Cadenza. His other productions have been released on labels such as Desolat, Visionquest or Sven Vath’s Cocoon. His works have gained him to become an Ibizan veteran and also allowed him to accumulate air-miles, attending a number of festivals across the globe. He is also one of the main contributors behind Polaris festival which is now in its second year.
You can catch Mirko Loko at Polaris Festival beginning December 9th.
