Diynamic launches very first Festival in Deep House hub Amsterdam
The Netherlands, already home to a wealth of talent in the electronic music scene will establish itself even more by hosting the very first Diynamic Festival on Saturday the 18th May. Together with Amsterdam club Studio 80, the renowned music label from Hamburg will be treating deep house enthusiasts to a day of uplifting, funky and unique house sounds.
Good friends Mladen Solomun and Adriano Trolio set up the Diynamic Label in 2006 and it has since become a family of fifteen artists, each with their own success. Breakthrough moments include Solomun’s mix of Noir & Haze’s ‘Around’ and other massive tunes by protégées such as David August’s ‘Hamburg Is For Lovers’ or Karmon’s ‘Wowshit’.
Voted MixMag producer of 2012, Solomun’s successful Neon Nights concept at Sankeys and his new residency at Pacha highlights how his sound and vision have been embraced on an international level.
So why Holland?
Solomuns new variety of deep house enjoys a strong fanbase in the Netherlands with two sold out editions of Neon Nights during Amsterdam Dance Event in 2012, he states ‘We have a special bond with the Netherlands, the Dutch public have always been very good to us. It’s difficult to describe but it always feels a little like coming home’.
Furthermore the label has close links with Studio80 – this being the first club to showcase his music and promote other Diynamic talents such as Stimming, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and more recently David August. Adriatique and H.O.S.H. have also hosted packed nights at Chicago Social Club’s ‘Nachtdivisie’, another popular Amsterdam venue.
The open air festival at Arena Park will be the first of its kind and the artists have expressed their excitement in performing for such a large crowd. This is your opportunity to experience the Diynamic Vibe! Check out 01:45 below for a preview of Solomun’s new track Yes, No, Maybe’.
