‘Eden’: Daft Punk-Inspired Movie Releases First Trailer

In France a movie has been in the making that will tell the story of the French dance scene and loosely portrays two youngsters that would eventually become the global phenomenon that is Daft Punk. The first trailer that you can see here, is looking pretty interesting.

The trailer was finally released this week after anticipation for the flick had been steadily building up. The story isn’t directly focussed on Daft Punk, however, it revolves around two friends of the would-be robots  that are also struggling to find their place within the Parisian dance scene in the early nineties.

There are three Daft Punk tracks featured in the film while they will also be making appearances throughout, being portrayed by Arnaud Azoulay and Vincent Lacoste. As you can see here, they didn’t do a bad job of making them look like the original members of Daft Punk: Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel” de Homem-Christo

Daft Punk have been involved in making movies themselves. Their first will probably look familiar as it’s a continuation of their video clips for “One More Time”, “Aerodynamic”, “Digital Love”, and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”. It’s called Interstella 5555, which is an animation featuring all the tracks.

The second is called Daft Punk’s Electroma and is about two robots who undertake a quest to be human. It’s pretty strange.

When exactly you will be able to see Eden in your movie theatre has not yet been confirmed by the distributor, so keep a close eye on it if you’re feeling excited to see how this movie plays out.
