Berlin’s Open Air hotspot, ELSE, has steadily moved along through the sweltering summer of 2018 with some three months of quality artists, events and atmosphere.
Already featured on the banks of the Spree have been showcases from the likes of Kompakt, Voyage Direct, and Live at Robert Johnson, which have featured diverse lineups of artists including Michael Mayer, Roman Flügel, Chinsaki, Ivan Smagghe, Fantastic Twins, Lauer, Reinhard Voigt & More. Now, as the summer is at its peak, August sees four more top level showcases.
Kicking the month off on 5 August, the beloved Keinemusik crew will return to ELSE, bringing with them the entire core family. On the day, Rampa, &ME, Adam Port and Reznik play through the day, while Jennifer Touch and Johannes Albert handle duties when the sun goes down. 11 August then sees Crack Magazine take over the space bringing some of the Bristol based publications favorite artists including Olof Dreijer (The Knife), Omar Souleyman, Willow, Orpheu the Wizard, Darwin, and Wild Renate resident, Alison Swing. The next day, it is Hivern Discs that take the space over with label head John Talabot, Tel Aviv’s live act Shame on Us, as well as Inga Mauer, Steve Pepe, Daniel Baughman, Rugile, Alicia Carrera, and Core. Finally, the month’s festivities wrap on 26 August with, one of our favorite imprints, Permanent Vacation, who bring along, Axel Boman, Konstantin Sibold, Aera, TERR, and label head Benjamin Fröhlich.
