The enrollment phase for the dance music producer’s contest Vinylized has started. Starting today, producers who think they have what it takes to make it big can sign up for the returning event that has now reached its tenth edition.
After all submissions are made, the jury will pick five finalists who will then be mixing and mastering their tracks at the SAE Institute in Amsterdam. The resulting tracks will be put up online around mid-September on www.vinylized.net. The public can then cast its vote on who they think is the most promising producer of the five. The winner will eventually be announced during ADE Next at the Amsterdam Dance Event 2014.
The winning producer will get an impressive amount of prizes that will seriously help him or her to make their way to the next level of their musical career. Here’s what you will be getting if you should win the contest:
- A vinyl release + remixes of your track + a digital release via Beatport and iTunes
- Studio-time with a professional sound engineer at the SAE Institute
- An interview with DJ Mag
- PR-support by Clair PR
- Promotional photoshoot by Richard Tas Photography
- Bespoke hearing protection by ACS Custom
- A showcase during ADE Next
A set of KRK monitor speakers
The submitted tracks for the Vinylized competition are evaluated by a jury comprised of a selection of DJs, bookers, journalists and previous participants and winners. The full jury: Michel de Hey, Hans-Jochem Dijk (NGTDVSN), De Sluwe Vos, Bakermat, Irfan Er (Top Billin’), Edwin Diergaarde (Ministry of Beats), Floris Groeneveld (Apenkooi), Sasja Kooistra (de Volkskrant), Tom van Wijk (AIR), Martijn Mischgofsky (Misc Agency), Estroe, Maarten van t Veld (From the Field), Claire van der Hall (Claire PR), Iason Chronis (Mason) en Rogier van Twuijver (Epiqurus).

GRAP hosts many different events like competitions, showcases and festivals that make it possible for producers, bands and other acts to let themselves be heard on a platform and show and develop their talent to the public, the media and people from the industry itself.
