Deep House Amsterdam is introducing a brand new feature: the Full Premiere series, where you can listen to FULL tracks that are yet to be released. From now you can expect two to four Full Premieres a month from us on Sundays. The first one we’re bringing you comes from Peru’s rising star Luis Leon. You might know Luis for his contribution to the edit series with his highly interpretation of “I Need” by Maverick Sabre, which is nearing 800.000 plays since its release last summer.
With his moody deep house, which has been picked up and played by influential selectors like MANIK, Finnebassen, H.O.S.H. and Thugfucker, more and more support comes in for Luis Leon with each and every release. It is a testament to the appeal of his carefully crafted productions, poised basslines and striking synths, always keeping himself recognizable by his unique sound.
This first installment in the Full Premiere series is Luis’ remix of Alex Barck’s “Like a Drug” featuring Stee Downes, which is set to be released the 24th of January on Sonar Kollektiv. Again, Luis Leon is able to fuse seriousness with playfulness, giving a poppy twist to a solid foundation. But we won’t keep you waiting any longer, so press play and get sucked into this alluring tune.
