5 Classic Sets: Sasha & John Digweed

Published On 15/05/2018 | Editorial

Sasha & John Digweed go together like tea and cake, scones and cream and fish and chips, and they’re every bit the British tradition of those tasty treats. Starting out in the nineties, they set on a course that changed the face of dance music with their progressive house and techno sets, filled with impossibly tight and long mixes and a range of spine tingling emotions.

As well as at Renaissance in Nottingham, they did so at Twilo in New York for many years, and last summer came together once more for some special back-to-backs at Resistance Ibiza. Of course, their Mix Collection for Renaissance is also the stuff of legend. During this year’s Off Week, the famous twosome return for more back-to-back action on Friday June 15th at the famous old bull ring Plaza de Toros in Barcelona. To mark the occasion we round up five of their most classic back-to-back sessions which cannot fail to get you in the mood.

MoS – London – 1997

Twilo – NYC – 1999

BBC R1 Essential Mix – 2000

MTV Recorded @ Fabric – 2002

Ultra – 2003
