Instytut have been putting on events for nearly twenty years in Warsaw and have earned a fine reputation for bringing great lineups to great venues, always with world class production.
This summer, Poland’s leading techno promoters will be organising their first ever multi-day party on 22–24 June, Instytut Festival. Located in the Garnizon Modlin, a historic Polish fortress just outside of Warsaw, three stages will play host to some of the biggest names in techno including Nina Kraviz, Marcel Dettmann, Oscar Mulero, Dax J, Headless Horseman, Kobosil and Randomer.
As well as the ability to bring heavyweight names to the Poland, Instytut organisers Iwona and Johann’s in-depth understanding of real techno culture gives them the adept ability to nurture local talent while helping Warsaw’s ever-developing techno scene grow. The pair also champion gender equality within electronic music through their other project “Techno Is A Lady”. Gaining notoriety for his emotionally charged techno and expansive soundscapes, Manoid’s regular appearances in the Polish Capital and releases on Hafendisko have caught the eye of Instytut organisers.
New Rome (AKA Tomasz Bednarczyk) has delivered a string ethereal productions, spanning droning ambient soundscapes to deep and minimal house. His eclectic back catalogue features appearances on renowned ambient labels 12k and Room40 as well as his own minimal label, We Are Your Music Mate.
Based in the Polish city of Poznań, this multi-talented DJ, producer and music journalist blends classic rave sounds with modern industrial tones to deliver truly heavy techno with EBM influences.

TAKA’s thoughtfully designed live sets using a range of hardware gear are an outlet for her to tell the stories of her life. Emotional depth and clever production techniques shine through her tracks which can range from down tempo atmospherics to high octane, blood pumping techno.
With hypnotic melodies and arresting atmospheres combined with driving percussion, it’s easy to see why this Warsaw musician has been invited to play at some of Europe’s most revered clubs.

His Dirty Secrets
Mixing heavy industrial landscapes with spaced out synthesisers, His Dirty Secrets diverse techno project is driven but the artist’s creative impulses and focus. With releases for Cititrax and Resopal Shallware set for later this year, His Dirty Secrets is definitely one to watch.
