CRSSD has become a staple in West Coast festival culture over the past two years. The allure of a dance party by the ocean sunny in San Diego each spring and fall makes it the perfect bookend to festival season here on the West Coast. This fall the techno lineup alone is just incredible, including: Dixon, The Black Madonna, Julia Gover, Damien Lazarus & the Ancient Moons, and many more. One of the greatest things about this festival is that it doesn’t just focus on an amazing day into night festival. CRSSD also throws after-parties Friday – Sunday late nights ... Read more

Eclipse Gathering is Perfect Representation Of Our Growing Global Community

Last year August was one of the most transformative months of my life due to the fact that I had spontaneously made the decision to attend my first Burning Man. The event taught me a lot about how to live with a greater spirit of giving and how that would allow me to manifest a fuller life. Now one year later that life is beginning to fully come into fruition. That is why deciding what event I would do this August was one of the more difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make. Why? A lot of my heart just ... Read more

How To Transcend Festival Rage Culture

Over the past three years Lightning in a Bottle has become a staple in my life: a time to rejuvenate my spirit and reignite my creativity and passion every spring. Music festivals have been a part of my life since I moved to California seven years ago— but, when I went to Lightning in a Bottle (LIB) for the first time everything shifted a bit and other festivals just didn’t stand up to the transformational experience of LIB. Today as I glanced over the lineup announcement in my inbox I recalled how three years ago that was all I cared ... Read more

Party Report: Pryda People Unite at Factory 93

Last Saturday night Insomniac once again opened the doors to the new Factory 93 warehouse venue in downtown Los Angeles. Unlike the last few parties they have announced, including Nicole Moudaber and the upcoming Adam Beyer show, this party featured a lighter, melodic, and iconic sound. This party was not as much a techno party as it was a true warehouse rave hosted by none other than Eric Prydz. Now, due to the warehouse energy of the venue it would have been the easy route to play an entire set as his techno alias Cirez D— however, this was a ... Read more

Interview: SAAND

SAAND is not just your typical house music DJ, he is someone who has transformed himself in the past few years and that transformation fuels this next step his music is taking in 2017. Over the past year he has gotten in touch with his body and his health. This has made him a happier person and brought a transcendental lightness to the new tracks which will be released over the course of this year. I met SAAND at a Wine and Cheese party thrown by a few Desert Hearts dwellers who just couldn’t wait for the next event. Last ... Read more

Further Future: Why We’re Excited

Further Future is not just another music festival: it is something different, something more. Further Future is a festival which embraces the true roots of festival culture. If we look to the greeks the festival was a time for people to come together share ideas and innovations, communicate, collaborate, dance, and be merry. This is exactly what FF is doing yet in a millennial sense. Further Future is the symposium for our more modern generation. It raises the question: how shall we continue to connect through technology. The festival will take place on the Moapa River Indian Reservation just outside ... Read more
