DHL Mix #150 By Kora

Kora, the young man from Montreal, crafts diverse sounds and stimulating textures in his inimitable electronic blend.

Featured on DHA/DHL before (including the Burning Man anthem Ovo), and a fast rising star in the scene, this artist’s stripped-back, emotive cuts run side by side with lush compositions, all exhibiting a stellar mix of of self-created samples, live instrumentation and impeccable sound design, which can be heard on the likes of Sol Selectas, Earthly Delights, and Kindisch.

So, as we’re pretty convinced Kora is one of those names to truly look out for moving forward, we thought it would be a perfect time to get him on board for a full length mix. You won’t find a tracklist here, but in Kora’s own word:

First of all I’d like to say MERCI to Deep House London for the opportunity to share a podcast with their music lovers. I recorded this set during a rainy Monday in Montreal, and I think it had an influence on the story I decided to tell. As much as some of my recent mixes were joyful and organic, I would describe this one as melancholic, dreamy & patient. It’s also how I would describe some of my recent work in the studio, so I’ve decided to reveal some of it in this new recording. Bonne écoute! x – Kora
