This year, D’Julz celebrates 20 years of Bass Culture residency at Paris’ Rex Club.
A monumental achievement for both DJ and club, D’Julz will celebrate with a series of events featuring hand picked artists that represent the diversity of Bass Culture. Of these events, Derrick May, Dyed Soundorom, Lil’ Louis, and Seth Troxler have all been announced with D’Julz and Dyed Soundorom kicking things off on 18 February.
20 years on and Bass Culture has become Rex Club’ longest lasting residency. Launched in ’97 out of D’Julz frustration with Paris’ overly glam touch on dance, the night focused on the deeper/darker side of dance music. In its first ten years, the likes of Josh Wink, Terry Francis, and Doc Martin amongst its first International guests. Since, the club has broken (then) emerging talents like Luciano, Cassy, Loco Dice, Raresh, and Sebo K with the likes of Mr G, Sonja Moonear, Carl Craig, Daniel Bell, and Octave One as more recent bookings!
