Here we go with our very first exclusive premiere and we’ve got a corker to get things rolling. Venezuelan duo Fur Coat have kindly given us the first play of the title track from their forthcoming EP ‘There’s No Time’, which is coming out on Jamie Jones’ ever popular Hot Creations label. Find our review of the album here.
Fur Coat shot to fame a couple of years when their sleazy track ‘You & I’ was picked up by Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus. Art Department dropped it at BPM in Mexico and the video went viral, with people all over the world desperate to find out who’d made the track with its naughty lyrics. Once everyone found out it was Fur Coat, their fate had been sealed and they were galavanting around the world, DJing everywhere from Miami to Ibiza, Australia and across Europe and the States.
Of course, they’ve also maintained a strong presence with their music, rolling out plenty of fresh new music along the way and even finding time in their hectic touring schedule to put out an album, ‘Mind Over Matter’, which landed on Crosstown Rebels late 2012.
This new track is a perfect example of their love affair with the sleazier side of house music, razor sharp synth lines cascade over a hefty set of percussion and a rumbling, morose b-line while a pitched-down, barely audible vocal lurks in the background. Hot stuff we’re sure you’ll agree.
You can get your copy of the cut from the 31st of March.
