Binny is a techno DJ/Producer from Liverpool, UK and has released records on Symbolism, Monnom Black, CLFT, Orbis, Suburban Avenue and Flatlife Deep.
In 2013 his debut solo release on Orbis Records entitled “Sub Space EP” was shortly followed by “No Surrender EP” and “Explorer EP”. These three releases defined the tough, old-school and Detroit-influenced sound which Binny is known for.
He is also a member of the Phantom Planet Outlaws with John Heckle and Mark Forshaw, a union which has produced EPs on both Tabernacle and Apartment Records and a remix for One Electronica.
As a DJ for almost 15 years he is known for fast-paced sets which mirror his production style.
Today, we present the exclusive premiere of Binny’s remoulding of James Kumo‘s, ‘Yellow’. Here, he adds a smooth and floaty feel, bringing broken Detroit tinged drums into the mix while airy, warbling pads and resonant synth licks brilliantly flourish around the rhythmic foundation.
“Yellow” is available 9 November on KMusic
