With the second EP off his newly launched label Mood of Mind, Fehrplay brings two more cuts of deep progressive melodies.
Known for his cinemtic productions, “Tannhauser” is no different. Meant to tantalise the senses with eerie synths permeating its nostalgia, the entire EP was heavily influenced by Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and its corresponding Vangelis score.
Here, the title track locks listeners into an eight minute portal of musical bliss. It’s almost as if you were on an adventure in the middle of an utopian island, and you’re being presented the view for the first time – a magical sense of aura falls over you.
“Tannhauser” is available 1 September on Mood of Mind PRE ORDER
What was the starting point for you of what would ultimately become the “Mood of Mind” EP?
Definitely taking inspiration from Vangelis Bladerunner soundtrack, but it’s also something that would fit in my sets.
What would you say the single most important piece of equipment/software was in creating the EP?
My Dave Smith – Prophet 6. It has that 80’s synth vibe to it.
How would you describe this release in a single word?
