After being the first-ever young talent to be signed to Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends almost a decade ago, the Swedish DJ, producer, and label head, Jeremy Olander has become one of the most appreciated and highly regarded artists in melodic house and techno.
In the start of his career, Olander went on to release multiple EPs, singles, remixes, record a shortlisted BBC Essential Mix, and performed at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden in New York City, Brixton Academy in London.
Following his departure from Prydz’s label in 2014 to pursue his own imprint and event series Vivrant, he released original music on some of the world’s largest and most respected imprints such as, John Digweed’s Bedrock, Sasha’s Last Night On Earth, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, UK behemoth Anjunadeep, and M.A.N.D.Y.’s Get Physical. In 2018, he was the first Nordic artist to be invited to play a show for Cercle, and his set has been streamed over 1 million times.
In November, Jeremy released the melancholic belter ‘Vanadis’ on Vivrant alongside new label signee MOLØ. December saw the unveiling of his first-ever mix album on the legendary Balance imprint. With 14 new originals from himself as well as La Fleur, Ejeca, Locked Groove, Marino Canal, Tim Engelhardt, and newcomers, A Friends of Marcus, and Carl Dern.
On the remix tip, the prolific Swede finished 2019 off with another high-profile project for fellow Swedish mega-star Tove Lo. The Grammy nominated singer and songwriter has been dubbed “Sweden’s darkest pop export” by Rolling Stone and is known for her raw, grunge-influenced take on pop music. A perfect blend with the melancholically infused style of Olander it proved, with his reinterpretation of ’Sweettalk My Heart’, off Lo’s latest studio album, has garnered over 500,000 streams on Spotify in just a month.
Jeremy Olander’s ‘Saigon’ EP represents the young Swedish label’s twentieth release and in 2020, Vivrant, with an artist family in the likes of Tim Engelhardt, Marino Canal, Khen and MOLØ, celebrates their five year anniversary. Today we premiere Nattuggla, an enticing melancholic driven beauty.
