Smokey Tails, the cult ‘Beats & Eats’ pop-up created by DJ Seth Troxler, Wilderness Festival co-founder Jo Vidler and flavour technician Jona Ahearne will have a permanent home in East London’s thriving food scene at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen (2-4 Hoxton Square, London, N1 6NU) on April 22.
After a series of residencies in Melbourne, Sydney, Miami & Amsterdam, Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen is set to welcome Smokey Tails into their restaurant as THE place to dine, drink, and dance in London.
“Music and food for me go hand in hand, they warm body and soothe the soul. With Smokey Tails I wanted to give people the same food that fed my soul through my childhood. We really wanted to create a place where I could share the food and spirit of my home and the recipes of my family.” – Seth Troxler
Offering lazy lunches and Midwest weekend brunches, with a snack menu of ‘hand to mouth’ food served throughout the adjoining bar area, Smokey Tails will be mixing the hearty family food they have become known for with sharing plates, exotic salad combos, insanely good sides, sumptuous deserts and carefully fashioned cocktails…and, weather permitting, every Sunday will play host to an outdoor BBQ brunch.
As Seth calls it, Smokey Tails is ‘Midwest modern’ with a menu thatu expands upon the pop-ups formula of dirty, delicious, finger-licking food from Seth’s three generation old family recipe book. It drawis on authentic Midwestern cuisine, and creating a new world of fresh feeling delicacies inspired by years journeying to far reaching corners of the globe.
