Yesterday morning, three girls were rushed to the hospital in “serious condition” after taking ‘Teddy Tablet” Ecstasy pills.
The incident occured in Greater Manchester after reports came in that the girls had fallen ill. Not much else is known about the incident but the age of the girls is of particular concern as it is only TWELVE years old.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Walker, of GMP’s Salford Borough said, “Sadly, three more young people, who are only 12-years-old, have taken ecstasy and ended up in hospital,” going on to to state that, “It is imperative young people understand the implications and avoid taking drugs, to stop any more young people ending up in hospital”.
Just over the past handful of months the region has seen the death of a 17 year old and the hospitalization of the three others, all directly associated with Ecastasy use. Police have urged anyone with information about where this drug may have come from to contact police on 101 as soon as possible, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
