Premiere: Enea Pascal – Papa Boy [Ivreatronic]

Underground Italian stable Ivreatronic follow up Fabio Fabio’s ‘Amore Cannibale’ EP with the second single from Enea Pascal. Enea Pascal is the youngest resident DJ from Ivreatronic. “Papa Boy” comes in the wake of his debut single “Golden Bocia”, released in June 2018. Enea is a sucker for rough and ready drum tracks and organic sounds that come to life with clever electronics. His tracks walk a fine line between the raucous ends of house and the bright experimentalist strands of electro, making for some of the stand out moments in sets. “Papa Boy” begins with an (admittedly unwitting) guest ... Premiere: Hanzo & Yaman – Memento (Roe Deers Remix) [Belly Dance Services]

Whether it’s occasional forgetfulness or loss of memory that interferes with daily life, the act of losing yourself into music is the most favorable version of amnesia. For Hanzo & Yaman it’s the main goal to provide sound that doesn’t make you think too much, but makes you move even more. With their second release Memento they have created a dark dance floor thriller that activates neurotransmitters, boosts endorphin rates, and might simply make you go bananas. Lithuanian wizard Roe Deers extended the track, adding tropical bits and creating a mystical masterpiece of his own. “Memento” is available 9 February on Belly ... Read more

La Belle Records welcome back AKKAN for a new EP that will land one year after their last on the label, this time with remixes from the excellent Iñigo Vontier and El Buho AKKAN is the Barcelona based production partnership between prolific natives BeGun and Ocellot. They came together after a magic mushroom psychotropic journey in the Kalahari Desert and that is reflected in their sounds which build on idiosyncratic and trippy melodies and ethnic rhythms. Opener ‘Kai’ is another enthralling trip into occult sounds, organic percussive patterns and colourful synth lines. The rolling drums set the groove with the ... Read more

Premiere: TR One – The Swim Meet (Lerosa Mix) [Solar Phenomena]

Canadian label Solar Phenomena has been on a rich form of late, with music by the likes of STL, Echoplex and Achim Maerz quickly marking them out as discerning purveyors of quality house and techno sounds. Their latest is another statement of intent, and comes at us here via Irish producer Eddie Reynolds, best known as TR One. Premiere: Front De Cadeaux – Something Wrong (Fabrizio Mammarella Rework) [Slow Motion Records]

Four stunning remixes of Front De Cadeaux by Slow Motion Records’ very own Fabrizio Mammarella. Comprising Hugo Sanchez from Rome and DJ Athome from Bruxelles, Front De Cadeux serve up three brand new tracks of 4/4 leaning crackling, static dance-mechanics that will fit straight in to your peak time selection. Touching on tribal house at points and the foggy basements of Berlin in others these remixes are joined by Mammarella’s ‘Pedé BPM’ re-work – a gnarly slice of synthetic EBM that was previously only available digitally. “Fabrizio Mammarella Reworks” is available 31 January on Slow Motion Records, PRE-ORDER AVAILABLE Artist Soundcloud Artist Page [soundcloud url=”https://soundcloud.com/deep-house-amsterdam/premiere-front-de-cadeaux-something-wrong-fabrizio-mammarella-rework” comments=”true” auto_play=”false” color=”8cd3f6″ width=”100%” height=”166″]

After a fantastic solo single in late 2018, Theus Mago is back with more club heat, this time in collaboration with the Local Suicide duo on his own co-run Duro label. Theus Mago is the alter-ego of established Mexican producer Mateo González. Responsible for projects such as Bufi (Kitsuné/Discotexas) and Sonido Fantasma (Turbo Recordings) he has a deeply expressive, freeform sound that mixes darker moods with lighter synths. The lead single’s title is roughly translated from German to English as ‘Come Into The Hole’. This double entendre can be taken as the never-ending vortex of deep space, as well as ... Read more

Premiere: Autotune – Blade Runner (Boys Noize Edit) [Boysnoize Records]

BNR finishes off an epic year of techno, rave revivalism, and EBM with a fantastic release from Autotune that revisits the label’s early roots and includes a remix from the boss Boys Noize. First released in 2004, Autotune‘s ‘Blade Runner’ is underproduced and sample based, existing somewhere between disco and industrial, with no soft-synth or plug-in heavy production tricks to accomplish its strong impression and dance floor readiness. Like the best tracks of its era, what makes Autotune‘s work so effective, so addictive, is a magic of purely human origin. The Boys Noize edit of the title track is a ... Read more
