Premiere: Adriatique – Jekaterinburg (Original Mix)
Adriatique’s presence at clubs in all corners of the globe for which they may be most loved, a joint approach to DJing hard to put to words but may be described as the work of true track selectors with a sound that’s at once varied yet cogent.
Today, Adriatique provides a very special exclusive take off of The 10-Years-Diynamic Compilation: A collection of 13 unreleased original productions by the core Diynamic family, including Solomun, Adriatique, H.O.S.H., Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Stimming, Karmon, NTFO, Thyladomid, Ost & Kjex, Magdalena, Johannes Brecht, and Undercatt. Below, Adriatique also dishes out the inside information on their career thus far, and the inspirations behind ‘Jekaterinburg’.
“10 Years Diynamic Compilation” is available 16 September on Diynamic Music

Is there something like a ritual or setting that helps you get creative?
Not really rituals, but taking breaks is important – taking a break from touring, taking a break from studio time – to clear up your mind and get new inspiration, that’s what we have to do from time to time to really get creative
Is there anything you have tried for the first time when you produced “Jekaterinburg”?
We kind of always try something new, sometimes, but that’s not necessarily noticable. It could be a recorded texture or special kinds of effects, a new instrument, those types of things. So yes, we did try some new things but they are slightly more in the background
Can you explain a little about the track and why this is appropriate for Diynamic’s 10 year anniversary release?
We didn’t really write this track for the compilation. It just happened to be the right choice for it. Beforehand we thought there might already be a few faster, more forward kind of tracks on this record, so we wanted to take another approach on this. You can definitely listen to Jekanterinburg outside of club walls too.
