Hitting robotically hot on the new Moda Black Volume IV compilation is a crafty electro-focused remix by Richy Ahmed. Since its inception in 2011, Moda Black has become one of the UK’s most successful independent imprints, focusing on passionately produced, forward-thinking electronic music that covers a broad range of sounds.

The acclaimed Moda Black album series is the label’s sonic yearbook and has been responsible for unveiling some of the labels’ more shelf-clearing records, as well as serving as a launch pad for white hot emerging artists. For the fourth Moda Black album, the label focuses almost exclusively on it’s own collective, delivering 11 brand new, previously unheard tracks and remixes. Featured on the compilation are artists such as Theo Kottis, Zeke Africa and IDAMOS to longtime associates Huxley, Groove Armada and Walker & Royce.

As for guests, Tough City Kids and Throwing Snow seal the deal alongside Richy Ahmed with their remixes. Richy’s remix is yet another example as to why he’s been a driving force to the renaissance of British House the past few years. He’s an established international DJ who knows the scene, taking cues from a plethora of genres and integrating it into his own form of curation.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the textural wonder of Richy Ahmed. Moda Black Volume IV will be available June 17th via Moda Black.
