David Lynch To Organize New Music Festival

World recognized artist, and one of the best filmmakers alive, David Lynch, is curating a new multi-disciplinary festival. Launching Festival of Disruption (nice name. We need more dissidence in festival culture but that’s an editorial for another day) in Los Angeles’ Ace Hotel, the event will happen 8-9 October and feature music, dance, panels, exhibits, film and virtual reality. New Double LP ‘The Music Of David Lynch’ Drops This April

Twin Peaks fans and David Lynch disciples are in for a treat next month as the Twin Peaks Archive Twitter account just announced the release of a double vinyl compilation called The Music Of David Lynch. The compilation album features original work by Lynch’s longtime soundtrack producer Angelo Badalementi and re-renditions by guest artists like Donovan, Duran Duran, Karen O, Lykke Li and Life And Death’s DJ Tennis.  Lynch’s surrealistic master pieces have been known not just for their cinematography and storylines, but also for consistently providing skin-creeping soundtracks, like the main theme of his cult hit series Twin Peaks. ‘The Music of David Lynch’ drops ...
