Last week the 8th edition of the BPM Festival was held in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Originally conceived as an event for people in the hospitality industry – BPM stood for Bartenders, Promoters, Managers – over the years the festival has grown to a gathering of DJ’s, producers and electronic dance music fans. With ten days filled with 80 events, 350 artists and over 50,000 enthusiastic party people, it has become the official dance music kick off of the year. Life And Death BPM Showcase Preview

Berlin based label Life And Death kicks off the brand new year with a showcase at the BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The versatile imprint is known for bringing along DJ’s who are not signed to the label and give the line-up a surprising twist. At the latest Amsterdam Dance Event for example, DJ Harvey was the eye catcher in a disco oriented room hosted by DJ Tennis. At BPM it’s Ben UFO and Joy Orbison. Our first BPM Festival experience was last year on the beautiful Playa Del Carmen and and it has never really let us go.
