Amsterdam’s Cruquiusgilde Warehouse Venue Announces Closure

As many have already heard, Amsterdam’s underground hotspot venue – Cruquiusgilde – is pulling the plug. Treading with a sigh, we’re uncovering the dialogue of feelings behind the venues demise, and dwelling on five great party nights the venue curated. Receiving their 24-hour license just last year, Cruquiusgilde is shutting down due to new noise restrictions imposed by the municipality. The temporary club, which would be officially open until the first quarter of 2017, is unable to operate within the short-term due to financial constraints. Club Trouw Finds New Location In West

There has been something of a void in the Amsterdam club scene since Trouw closed its doors last January.  Though its successor has consistently been professed, anything further has been nothing but rumour, until NOW!   Sources within the administration of Amsterdam’s Western district say a new nightclub will be situated on the former site of Iedersland College, just behind Sportplaza Mercator. The now unused school building will act as a nightclub by night and a youth centre by day.
