DHA FM Mix #431 by Stump Valley

“Pretty mysterious but that’s not the appeal. Super diverse stylistically, but that’s not it either! – indeed you’ll uncover little about Stump Valley using the well-worn tool of the internet, but what you do after hearing all of their tracks on the dancefloor, is chilling out and listen to them again.” Jordan Czamanski from Juju & Jordash Raised from the ashes of an old project, Stump Valley is a little village in the countryside, where deers and boars run free in the street. That’s the place where most of Stump Valley ‘s music was made. Stump Valley: “After years of djing and ... Read more

[Interview] Through The Smoke With Helena Hauff

Born and raised in Hamburg, former Golden Pudel resident Helena Hauff’s profile has grown exponentially since the release of her 2015 LP debut “Discreet Desires”. Built on authenticity and seamless integration of Acid, Electro, EBM, Techno and Post Punk in her electrifying DJ sets (still constructed via the physicality of lugging record boxes from country to country), Helena has found herself an event center piece everywhere from Sonar to Dekmantel (where she returns this 5 August). As a Producer, her machine centered, unapologetically raw work has been heard via Werkdiscs, Handmade Birds, as well as her own Return to Disorder ... Read more

As houses become fewer and further in between, the landscape becomes greener as we paddle our way over an ever-increasing number of dikes and bridges; a sign indicating we’ve now officially left Amsterdam is overshadowed by a much smaller, bright red & yellow sign below it, pointing us where we need to ... Interview: Umfang

Born in New York City, raised in the Mid West, and now a staple of Brooklyn’s underground electronic scene, Umfang’s amorphous polyrhythmic Techno productions have been felt everywhere from Ninja Tune to Dekmantel. The co founder of the Discowman collective, and monthly resident of Brooklyn’s Technofeminism concept since 2012, consistently enjoys playing with people’s expectations of how a Techno set can be defined. With a political edge rooted in 21st Century ideals that push history, diversity, and accessibility throughout a still male-dominated industry, Umfang’s willingness to break the template has set her, and the multitude of emerging talents she has ... Party Report: Festifest

Amidst the festival giants such as DGTL & Dekmantel nestle some homegrown gems, born out of budding friendships and a vision to provide others with what they feel missing within the scene. Festifest is one of those gems. Perched in a small arena like area at NDSM, Festifest welcomes around 2000 people, all of which snapped up their tickets within days of release.
