DGTL Festival Presents LOOP

As I’m sure we all remember, the 2015 DGTL Festival at Amsterdam’s NDSM was a veritable rollercoaster ride; not just of music, but of an overall sensory experience. Existing as a sustainability think-tank, as much as an artistic mecca, the festival remained undoubtedly rooted within the city of Amsterdam’s industrial infrastructure and cultural history. Featuring sets from a whose who of todays best in House and Techno, DGTL truly was a solid kick off to what is widely known as “festival season,” whether in its Netherlands home, around the European continent, or worldwide. In lieu of the traditional festival “after movie,” the guys ... Read more

DGTL Festival 2015 Report: Sunday

About a week ago DGTL kicked off the festival season and it was a blast. Enough time to retrospect on the two day event. Here’s day two of the festival report. After a strange train ride, a fight between a ticket controller and passenger included, I finally arrived in Amsterdam. First good sign: the sun is shining, which ... Read more

Tom Trago Talks New Booking Agency ‘Voyage Select’, DGTL & Future Plans

“It looks like there is a growing interest in quality house music in the places that you wouldn’t immediately associate with dance music. It seems like the crowds in these smaller cities are much more receptive of the sound I want to bring across” It recently came to light that the forward-looking house imprint by Tom Trago, Voyage Direct, would be sidestepping into the artist booking business by opening up their own agency in collaboration with Jorn Liefdeshuis. Eager to hear more about the news, we met up with Tom on a sunny afternoon last week to talk about the ... Read more

This native Italian, but Berlin based duo needs no introduction. Mind Against started in 2011 and barely 3 years on they are the crown jewel of the Life and Death label. Life and Death, the core label of Mind Against has a peculiar concept. For those not yet familiar: the music sounds overwhelmingly ominous with a psychedelic sensibility to it. It’s a concept that maybe seems less peculiar after exploring the musical backgrounds of its founders Manfredi Romano (aka DJ Tennis) and Greg Oreck, one half of New York house duo Thugfucker and partner Matteo Milleri from Tale of Us. ... ADE Report: DGTL, NGHTDVSN & Loveland,

Last week it was time for the 19th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event. More than 300.000 electronic music fans washed over Holland’s capital in search of their favourite DJ. Choosing from the list of over 450 parties with almost 2.500 artists is always one of most difficult tasks of the year. This time the combination of line-ups, friends, guest lists and fate brought me to DGTL, NGHTDVSN and Loveland. Although ADE officially kicked off on Wednesday, my first event was on Thursday. DGTL organized three nights at the NDSM shipyard and for the first one they had invited Life ... Read more

I thought it was more densely populated ... Read more
