[Interview] Staying Cool With Tiga & The Crusade Against Boring Records

After contributing material and production to Tiga’s 2016 “No Fantasy Required” LP, an organic collaboration formed between the the Turbo Recordings and fellow Montrealer Clarian, the two have come together for one of a slew of projects that have set the former’s eventful spring and summer season. Premiere: Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin – Atlas (Tuff City Kids Remix)

Premiering on DHA are Tuff City Kids, the production duo consisting of Phillip Lauer and Gerd Janson, as they remix Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin’s club classic ‘Atlas’. Ordinarily, you would put J before L to preserve alphabetical order, but in this case the amount of work done by Lauer necessitates some sort of nod – rhetorically or otherwise. Early in their career, Philip and Gerd had been focusing largely on remix commissions rather than original production, but have since diversified their output. Dutch Beachside Venue Woodstock’69 Returns After Fire

Following a serious fire back in January that claimed much of its inventory, the much loved Dutch summer venue Woodstock’69 will be back in action next week. Located in North Holland’s Bloemndaal, the first events will see Woodstock and Gallowstreet residents, as well as Hunee and Gerd Janson (3-5 June). Âme (June 10) drops by the following week, followed by Hernan Cattaneo (July 10), and Mano Le Tough (August 21). Surely more names will drop in the coming days as well. Oranjebloesem Kingsday To Be First Festival Held At New Blijburg

One of the most prominenet yearly Kingsday events, Oranjebloesem, has just released first details of their upcoming edition. Oranjebloesem, a collective of Amsterdam promoters NGHTDVSN and Next Monday’s Hangover, will set the bar again for the range of Kingsday parties happening in and around Amsterdam on the 27th of April.
