Aphex Twin Returns To US For First Performance In Nearly A Decade

Not since his 2008 Coachella performance as Aphex Twin graced a U.S. stage, but that all changes this December. On 17 & 18 December, Houston’s Day for Night Festival will welcome the electronic noise pioneer for the first time stateside in nearly a decade. The festival itself is described as, “featuring world class musicians as well as leaders in various disciplines of digital art”. Composer John Carpenter To Live Perform For The First Time

John Carpenter, the iconic director and soundtrack composer of movies like Halloween, Escape from New York and cult classic They Live, is going to be performing his oeuvre live for the first time in his life. He will do so at the 2016 All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in Iceland. Next to his soundtracks, Carpenter will also be performing songs from his debut album ‘Lost Themes’.  Carpenter (67) will be performing together with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies, as well as a full live band and a “spectacular stage production”. ‘Lost Themes’ was received with mixed reviews.
