Maceo Plex is set to drop the second chapter of his Mutant Series, the first of which’s ‘Mutant DX’ was premiered by us recently. Maceo Plex Revives Electro-Focused Mariel Ito Alias For New EP & Retrospective

Back after 12 years, Maceo Plex is reviving his Mariel Ito moniker, specifically to further his experimentation on electro sounds. Last used during the mid-2000s, Mariel Ito delivered delivered a slew of releases including an EP on Modern Love and an album on SCSI-AV, to name a few. Now, the new single, ‘2e Komst,’ will land on 26 January on new imprint Lone Romantic. Perhaps the ultimate live electronic music act, Underworld’s Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) performance during the conference’s Friday early evening was also one of its toughest tickets. As last year with Maceo Plex, Audio Obscura‘s registration only event occupied two hours on a cold early evening underneath Amsterdam’s iconic Rijksmuseum, taking place through the entirety of its bike passage. Packs of ADE revellers, the lucky 2000 or so, packed in from before the first key was hit, with several more waiting at the outer gates, perhaps able to find a solitary spot amongst the crowd inside. Last weekend, one of the world’s most exotic cities – Marrakech, Morocco, hosted the third annual Oasis Festival.
