Huge drug-seize at Australia’s Strawberry Fields Festival: 120 arrested

While fans and participants are thanking for a “magical” festival, Australian media report the seize of what is claimed to be a huge drug haul during Stawberry Fields festival last weekend. Police have expressed concern, as over 64 percent of the cars were transporting drugs to one of the country’s most famous local festivals, headlined by Apparat, Max Cooper, Peter Van Hoesen this year. Strawberry Fields is known as a festival bridging between a techno/house festival and a hippie rave. Festival Report: Buiten Westen 2015

Last Saturday saw Buiten Westen Festival hosting its fourth edition at Westerpark, a stone’s throw away from the Amsterdam city centre. The sold-out event covered six stages where visitors could enjoy a well-curated selection of DJs in house, techno and disco – some of the biggest names brought to the table were Fritz Kalkbrenner, Kerri Chandler, Delano Smith, Aeroplane, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Claptone, Culoe de Song, Max Cooper, Lil Louis and Italojohnson.
