Maceo Plex Launches Sub Label, Ellum Black With Second Mutant Series Installment

Maceo Plex is set to drop the second chapter of his Mutant Series, the first of which’s ‘Mutant DX’ was premiered by us recently. The new set of EPs is again characterised by the “techno mutation” concept, each of which come out via friend’s labels, as well as Maceo’s own during the course of 2018. “Mutant 2” will kick off Ellum Black, a new branch of Ellum focusing on the darker, more intellectual sound of the Techno spectrum. Premiere: Maceo Plex Feat. Maars - Mutant DX (Original Mix)

Maceo Plex locks down 2018 with his new ‘Mutant’ series that sets out to explore the more mutated side of his signature cosmic Techno. Similar to his ‘Conjure’ series (2015), the new releases will reside across labels run by peers Maceo respects and is inspired by, with some also featuring on his much loved Ellum imprint with Correspondant set release the debut EP, “Mutant 1”.
