Party Report: DGTL AMS 2018

It’s been a week since DGTL took over Amsterdam’s NDSM for their sixth edition. A prominent and important date in The Netherlands highly competitive (and at times, highly over saturated) festival and electronic music market, DGTL is still able to fortify its place within the countries creative eco system with consistent quality curation, as well as a forward thinking approach to Art, Technology, and Sustainability. Last week, I wrote pretty extensively on the selections of Art at DGTL AMS 2018, which featured everything from a before-the-gate- augmented reality app (personal note, isn’t AR so much better than VR? I feel ... Read more

Now, undeniably, one of the scene’s brightest new stars, HAAi has found her sets in demand everywhere from Sunfall Festival to Glastonbury, Boiler Room to Watergate, and everywhere in between. Party Report: Strange Sounds From Beyond 2017

Strange Sounds From Beyond Festival 2017, an effervescent event and Amsterdam Noord’s industrial NDSM, that attracted plenty of young and colourful audience and offered many entertaining choices. From the abundance, Sun Ra Arkestra was at the epicentre of all expectations. The Arkestra under the leadership of Marshall Allen, performed fully drawn into the immediacy of music. Party Report: Festifest

Amidst the festival giants such as DGTL & Dekmantel nestle some homegrown gems, born out of budding friendships and a vision to provide others with what they feel missing within the scene. Festifest is one of those gems. Perched in a small arena like area at NDSM, Festifest welcomes around 2000 people, all of which snapped up their tickets within days of release. The demand to attend Festifest took me by surprise as many people I had spoken to hadn’t really heard about it but I soon found out that the reason being was because I was speaking to expats ...
