DHA Mix #364 By Dennis Ferrer

Dennis Ferrer has been at the forefront of electronic music for well over 15 years now, transitioning between styles and influences while always keeping it interesting for club-goers and purists alike. Whether it was Techno & Ambient in the 90’s, Melodic House in the early 2000’s or reinventing himself over the past few years, Ferrer is now focused on a somewhat darker, more techno-influenced sound lately. This sound can be experienced in Amsterdam on 18 May as Dennis stops be De Marktkantine with Boris Werner and Makossa in tow. Anticipating this event, we’ve got an exclusive mix from Dennis just ... DHA Mix #321 By Jonathan Kaspar

Jonathan Kaspar is a Cologne based Producer and DJ who has released on the likes of Objektivity, Pets Recordings and Kompakt´s KX while also throwing nights in his hometown’s famed Gewölbe club. His melodic and groovy sets work as warm ups as well as headline slots taking dancers on a beautiful cosmic musical journey, as exemplified by his massive Ibiza 2017 anthem, ‘Khaya’. Recently, we saw another top rework on the aforementioned Objektivity, coming as a remix for David Mayer (keinmusik, Connected, RISE). That track, ‘Sirocco,’, was recently premiered over at DHL and you may have also heard heard it on Rampa‘s well received ... Read more

DHA Profiles: Nasser Baker

I met Nasser Baker a couple of weeks ago on one of the first truly nice days of the Amsterdam season (which just happened to follow the day long national celebration that is Kingsday). Despite a mild touch of the post party blues, it was still the perfect day for a musical stroll through some of Amsterdam’s best record shops, and with one of the dance industry’s freshest faces. I knew a bit about Nasser beforehand, especially that he was the latest protege of Objektivity boss Dennis Ferrer, the dance music icon who can boast a similar title when referencing ... Read more

Premiere: Dennis Ferrer – Maniac 3000 (Original Mix)

Good things come to those who wait’… Especially to those who wait for the next original Dennis Ferrer release on his imprint, Objektivity. ‘Maniac 3000’ is the second anthemic single from Ferrer’s much anticipated upcoming album on Defected, ‘Paranoia Aftermath’, to drop early 2017. Tapping into his techno-roots for this one, Ferrer has managed to create an unlikely union between the groovy techno drums and the suspense of arpeggiated synth line. In Ferrer’s own words the track was ‘an attempt to go backwards, to move forward’. “Maniac 3000” is available 29 September via Objektivity Soundcloud Artist Page [soundcloud url=”https://soundcloud.com/deep-house-amsterdam/dennis-ferrer-maniac-3000-objektivity-1″ comments=”true” auto_play=”false” ...
