Two New Amsterdam Venues Obtained 24-hour Licences

The initiative of the Amsterdam’s Night Mayor institution to put a 24-hour economy running has been showing results. Two more locations – Nachtlab (Warehouse Elementenstraat) and Ven Amsterdam – joins the city’s exclusive 24-hour licence club. In total now there are seven venues in Amsterdam who can determine their opening hours: De School, Radion, Tolhuistuin, Overkant, A’dam-Toren, De Koning Party Events and DOKA. In the beginning of May this year, Amsterdam’s municipality opened a new round of applications for obtaining the 24-hour licence. As the Nachtburgemeester claims, two initiatives stood out most – Ven Amsterdam and Nachtlab. The Mysterious LINEAGE Concept Returns To Amsterdam

After a beautifully secretive inaugural edition at Radion and a mad street rave on Kingsday, Lineage is back, only this time with a fifteen hour open air belter.  The event kicks off at the beachside DOK (4pm) with sand, booze, beats, and food, and is then followed by a gorgeous sunrise afterhours boat party (3am). Tickets for the DOK party will ONLY be available at the door, so if you’re not in possession of a Lineage coin (see below), time to make friends with someone is. Lineage: Amsterdam’s Mysterious New Party Concept

The word on the street is there’s a new party in town and we’re not even sure we’re supposed to be writing about it: it’s a strictly offline community called Lineage. 30 odd tastemakers from all corners of Amsterdam’s scene have come together to create a new series of hedonistic underground parties. Club Trouw Finds New Location In West

There has been something of a void in the Amsterdam club scene since Trouw closed its doors last January.  Though its successor has consistently been professed, anything further has been nothing but rumour, until NOW!   Sources within the administration of Amsterdam’s Western district say a new nightclub will be situated on the former site of Iedersland College, just behind Sportplaza Mercator. The now unused school building will act as a nightclub by night and a youth centre by day.
