Up In The Air: Santé & Sidney Charles

On Saturday September 29th we arrived in London to join Santé and Sidney Charles on that weekend’s mini-tour. The starting point was Kent’s The Social Festival, an event we’ve always wanted to check out. With a star studded line up awaiting us, we left with full excitement. When we arrived, we ran into the boys directly, as if they knew we were coming; both smiling from ear to ear, excited for their sets as always. The stage was a Caravan surrounded by trees, creating a very intimate setting and the boys had it going. Then, Emanuel Satie decides to jump ... Read more

Exclusive Interview With Verknipt

Unpretentious, accessible to a wide audience and perhaps a little chaotic at times; this is the gist of the dynamic behind one of Amsterdam’s most popular event organizers, Verknipt (which can be translated as being mad or crazy). Starting barely two and a half years ago, the concept was clear from the start. Reza and Mer, the two guys running the outfit, wanted to host events where the feel of a party – in the frivolous sense of the word – should be present in every way, while paying close attention to the line-up. Their events have gained them a ... Read more

Nachtcollege Celebrating Two-Year Anniversary At Central Studios

Amsterdam has seen tens of event organizers come and go in the last couple of years. But within that timespan organizations have risen to some of the most popular and familiar-sounding parties in and outside of this city through simple and rock-solid concepts that seem to correspond to the wants of today’s clubbers rather well. We all know Pleinvrees, Straf_Werk and Next Monday’s Hangover hangover by now. Perhaps not as synonymous with Amsterdam, but definitely comparable to these names at the moment is Nachtcollege, who have had an astronomical rise of their own since they started exactly two years ago. ...
