Friday the 27th, also known as third Christmas day, the warehouse space of Dhoem Dhaam in Amsterdam Noord prepares itself for the 9th edition of Amsterdam success night UK Sounds. This time the organization booked Waze & Odyssey as their headliner next to A Lister, previously booked hero Oli furness and the very talented Samuel Deep. Alongside are the UK Sounds residents Alexander Valentijn, Jimmy van Esch and Prunk. UK Sounds has all the ingredients of a present day quality nightlife concept with international appeal where the music is central to the event. Apart from that, the location couldn’t have been better suited for this gruesome party, because Dhoem Dhaam offers the raw, stripped-out warehouse vibe that you would expect at the better underground garage/house parties in London or Manchester.

That UK Garage – Deep House – Bass is the sound of today is a fact that little music trend watchers will deny. The old school heavy basses as known from the early Chicago – San Francisco jacking house sound and the mid nineties speed garage era is subject to a true revival and is 100% hot right now. The genre is fueled with different sub styles by the likes of (indeed) Waze & Odyssey or De Sluwe Vos, Darius Syrossian, Detroit Swindle, Dale Howard or Eats Everything. The sound is filled with classic house sounds and samples and brings together a public of like-minded music lovers, from youngsters and hipsters, to the matured house connoisseurs.

East Londoners Serge Santiágo and Firas Waez better known as Waze & Odyssey have numerous underground hits on their repertoire that are picked up by DJs known for playing Deep House to even DJs that are usually more on the Techno-side. The front-runners give an extra bit of flair to the event and the promoters show they understand what composing a line up is by means of a headliner that is perfectly in sync with the rest of the featured artists that night.

Second newcomer to UK Sounds, A Lister, 23 years old, upcoming UK garage DJ/producer, is becoming more and more familiar in the scene and is supported by a vast number of household names.

Sylvestro Tjon Sack Kie AKA Samuel Deep is a young house DJ and producer, born and raised in Utrecht. He founded and co runs SlapFunk, an infamous party crew and label. As a matter of fact, the first ever SlapFunk party was held to celebrate his birthday. SlapFunk parties became more and more popular throughout the year, but after winning the Metro DJ Contest things really started moving for this talented artist.

Third and last UK native on the flyer and ‘Music is Love’ label boss is Oli Furness. Oli adds perfect flow in the line up amongst the non-residents with his jacking UK garage sound. With these Britons in the house, combined with the solid quality of the local talent and residents, make UK Sounds @ Dhoem Dhaam Warehouse an event which is the ultimate closer of 2013 for any house lover. You wouldn’t wanna miss this one!
