4 – 8 April, 2018 will see the Caribbean island of Barbados graced with a new week-long destination music and art celebration, Vujaday Music Festival.

An event of this scale has yet to take place in Barbados and is meant to create unforgettable experiences for locals and travellers alike, giving the former a chance to experience DJs from around the world, while those new to the island will receive a much wider experience than on a typical visit. The entire thing is founded by those who have also owned and operated world renowned Toronto clubs like Footwork Nightclub, Coda, The Hoxton and The Velvet Underground, along with festivals like Further Future.

The festival’s five primary events will run from Wednesday through Sunday with the largest on its Saturday. So far Vujaday’s phase one artist announcement includes Art Department, Lee Burridge, DJ Tennis, Green Velvet, Justin Martin, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, Nick Monaco, Lee Foss, Bedouin, Desert Hearts Mikey Lion & Lee Reynolds, Peggy Gou, Francesca Lombardo, Lauren Lane, and Latmun.

A First Of Its Kind

Of course, any festival is only as good as its lineup. For this inaugural edition, Vujaday will bring Art Department, Lee Burridge, Justin Martin, Peggy Gou, Green Velvet and may more to Barbados. Labels and crews represented will be the likes of All Day I Dream, Desert Hearts, Crew Love, and Dirtybird with more to be announced soon.
