After selling out their debut edition last year, Pleinvrees Heroes returns to the Amsterdam sporting green space Riekerhaven on Saturday, September 5th. The second edition promises a new musical endeavour filled with old heroes and new ones, spanning six unique stages, each with its own musical curation.
The LIVE stage will exclusively hold live performances, from acts such as N’to, Worakls, Oliver Schories, Einmusik. A lot of musical surprises to be expected by the hardware-wielding artists featured here. Continue at the Andhim Superfriends stage, where the ever-jovial German duo have invited high-flying friends Guy Gerber, Oliver Koletzki b2b Niko Schwind (live) and Monkey Safari. Support at the Superfriends stage comes from Amsterdam’s own Illesnoise, Life And Death contributor Vaal and Formel.arjuna
At Typisch Pleinvrees, Pleinvrees regulars will pass by during the day for your dose of mellow, melodic beats, including Joris Delacroix, Alle Farben, Nora En Pure, Arjuna Schiks, Zimmer and more. At Katermukke stage, the German label is bringing longtime contributors Dirty Doering, Marcus Meinhardt, Mira and upcoming live artist Midas 104.

A very special selection of Amsterdam-based DJs can be found at the back-to-the-80s stage, where, among others, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Interstellar Funk and Tim Hoeben will bring back the poppy, electronic post-disco sound of the infamous era that’s been making a popular return.
Finally, the stage hosted by yours truly, will cover some heroes of our own, including Trouw resident Tsepo, playing b2b with Konstantin Sibold, Daniel Bortz, Marcus Worgull, Dauwd [live], fellow Lithuanians Gardens Of God (Ellum) and Few Nolder (Boso).

All in all, Pleinvrees Heroes upcoming edition is offering a musical feast, focused on the underground house sound in all its forms and colors and where the well-chosen 80s stage offers a lighter touch amidst the abundance of dark and melancholic leads and bass lines.
