Full Premiere: Ibellini – Milk & Honey (Original Mix)

Ibellini’s excellent debut EP on Crosstown Rebels sub-label Rebellion impressed us this month – in fact, we included it in our Top 10 Upcoming Releases for October. The Londoner has been a steady rise over the last few years, although he’s been DJing since he was 14! His ability to traverse numerous styles, all while maintaining a cohesive sound ethic has helped him to establish a sterling reputation as a DJ, while his talents as a producer have caught the attention of Damian Lazarus and Seth Troxler. His ‘Wide Soul’ EP lands next Monday and we’ve managed to grab an ... Read more

We’re sure you’ll agree, it’s a cracking mix so hit play and crank it up! Review: Eastern Electrics Festival

Over the last couple of years Eastern Electrics has evolved from its warehouse-based roots, into a fully-fledged large-scale festival event. Last year they were maybe a little too ambitious, throwing a three-day event with camping options at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire with a ridiculously big line-up. It ended up backfiring in a major way with the company behind Eastern Electrics going into liquidation after the event. This year they came back with a one-dayer, learning from last year’s mishap and, understandably, playing it a little safer. Even so, the line-up was still a mouthwatering prospect with Derrick Carter, Kerri Chandler, ... Read more

It’s always a bold move when you step away from the limelight and venture to San Antonio to offer a more underground ethos. The team behind Créche, which built a firm foundation in London, have decided to take on the stereotypical EDM and pop culture, working with the brand new club development that is Gatecrasher. The club has taken the reigns from the dwindling sounds that Eden had to offer and revamped the award winning club with a series of main event players plus a hefty sound system. Créche not only brought their leading residents, and owners, Cozzy D and ... Read more

Review: Fanick – Ondatra EP

Straight out of St.Petersburg, Russia, comes Fanick, a young man who has been active since his early teens. He started early and is reaping the benefits of those years spent practising on the ones and twos signing his latest release to one of Deep House London’s favourite labels, Overall Music. This EP is typical Overall style; groovy, deep and utterly irresistable. It comes with two originals and two remixes and makes for a great little package. Opening with the title track, we’re gripped straight away by crisp, skippy 4×4 beats and a smooth absorbing bassline. It emits a mellow warmth ... Read more
