Caribou Tells US Conservative Rush Limbaugh To Fuck Off
Rush Limbaugh joins Donald Trump at the table of the rejected by the music world. On a recent episode of his radio show a conservative political commentator, Rush Limbaugh, known for his sexist and misogynistic comments, stated he is “obsessed” with Caribou’s ( a.k.a. Dan Snaith) “Can’t Do Without You”, Rush said “This is my new favorite song of all time right now, folks. I’ve been grooving to it in every free moment that I have.”. Poor Rush liked the song so much he wanted to get it in regular rotation as a bumper on the show when he was greeted by an answer by the Canadian musician to fuck off.
a) stop using my music on your show
b) stop being a bigot.

First of all, dear Rush, we so understand you as we’ve all been obsessed with this song and we understand that as a conservative it took you 2 years to discover it. At the end we’re talking about a guy who’s thinks hurricanes and consent are part of left-wing conspiracy on one side. Poor Rush, how were you to know you are messing with not a sell-out but a real musician, who’s goal is connecting to the people with his music that as he claimed in an interview with the Guardian: “[..] dance music isn’t just escapism; at best it’s always been about including the difficulties and challenges of life rather than just being this utopian, bacchanalian zone.”. Moreover little did Mr. Limbaugh know, that the song was dedicated to his wife!
Trump himself has also recently discovered the power of copyright law, when musicians like Rolling Stones, R.E.M., Aerosmith and more denounced Trump’s right to use their songs in his rallies, followed by (best of all to our opinion) comment by the lead singer Michael Stripe, who said: “Go fuck yourselves, the lot of you—you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men. Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.”
