The Swedish duo Bambook consisting of Eiad Sayegh and Hannes Netzell are no strangers to the house scene having already released a superb EP ‘What’s The Use’ with Cari Golden that had the blessing of Maceo Plex. With their brand new release Humble Hearts on Culprit LA, the boys have also had the honours to kick off the first edition in our Culprit podcast series.
The LA-based imprint, founded by the DJ/producer trio Droog (mix), is known for their careful selection of funky and modernistic underground house music. The label has released records for distinguished and celebrated names like Lee Foss, Lee Curtiss, Jamie Jones, MANIK, Kenneth James Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle, Seth Troxler, Inxec, Matt Tolfrey, Subb-an, Martin Buttrich, jozif, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves, Soul Clap, Tanner Ross and many more.
Perhaps just as known as the music they drop are there rooftop parties in downtown LA. Those lucky enough to be on that magical list of invitees are treated to crazy line ups with perhaps even sicker backdrops. Just watch this video to get the idea.

The Culprit team is also getting ready for their Off-Sonar party at Parc del Forum, where they’ll be bringing the likes of Maxxi Soundsystem, Edu Imbernon, Thugfucker, Francesco Lombardo and other hot shots will be handling the decks to celebrate the imprint’s fifth birthday.
For those of us that are living nowhere near LA but still want to catch the vibe above, just press play to this fine creation by Bambook.
