With a career spanning three decades, MK is one of House Music’s most prolific Producers and talented Remixers.
His storied background is one of long-term creative development with roots laying in Detroit, yet his musical path can be described as a series of seamless transitions from house to techno and hip-hop to R&B, with a complete turnaround back to house. As one of those responsible for defining the sound of early house through timeless productions, MK has influenced a new generation of producers, with the result that his sound is more relevant today than it ever has been.
On New Year’s Eve, MK will be in London at the massive Printworks where he will be joined by Lee Foss, Route 94 and KC Lights. This event is sold out but, who know, maybe there will be some way to get in as it will be the capital city’s most buzzed about welcoming of 2018. Anticipating that mix, and slowly closing down our 2017, MK delivers this edition of our mix series.
