This year, Draaimolen celebrates their fifth anniversary with several special events marking the occasion.

So far, these celebrations have included a sold-out birthday celebration with a Nous’Klaer showcase in April and an extra special (soon to be announced) line-up for a free festival Holy Pink in July. Still though, the centerpiece of it all remains Draaimolen Festival 2018, which returns to its beloved location Charlotte Oord on 15 September. Transforming the green space of meters high trees with spectacular stage designs of Iregular, Cinemata, Freerotation, Nikki Hock and Joeri Woudstra and visuals from (amongst others) Heleen Blanken, the event continues to solidify itself as one of the most distinctive and controversial festival experiences in the country.

Of course, it’s all about music and, after the overwhelming reactions last year’s event, Draaimolen Festival upped its game even further with five different stages. Names like Nina Kraviz, Dixon, Ben UFO, Oscar Mulero, LSD (live), Motor City Drum Ensemble, Larry Heard (live) and Karenn (live), and many more will represent the absolute top of the electronic music scene, while countryman Job Jobse will be given creative freedom in curating TWO stages. Additional names appearing include I-F, Marcel Dettmann, Dollkraut, Oceanic, Solar b2b Mozhgan, Elias Mazian, and more.
