The German house label Exploited, which is known for great releases and great parties alike, has announced the realease of a new sublabel, according to Mixmag. With Exploited being already known for bringing forward acts like Claptone, Adana Twins and Doctor Dru, the new sublabel, Exploited Ghetto, will focus even more on new talent.
Exploited, the magnificent label from Berlin, can surely be called one of the leading labels of contemporary house music. With a string of excellent releases during the past few years, the label is now branching out into Exploited Ghetto. The new sublabel will focus on bringing new acts into the scene. Much of what the label does will be focused on one-off releases, from people yet not in the Exploited roster.
First snippets from future releases are out now on Exploited’s Soundcloud and they are very promising. The honour of the first release goes to an Italian producer who goes by the name of Mennie. The name isn’t completely unknown for the readers of DHA, as one of his collaborative efforts with Bambook was premiered by us last year. His first release on Exploited Ghetto features a tune with airy synths layered with a catchy percussion groove on the A-side. Mellow and groovy could be a way to sum up the song featured below but it also comes with an early hours vibe that is sure to cause movements on the dancefloor. With the B-side also packing quite the punch, the first release gives a very promising start to the new label and to Mennie’s 2015. We also spotted on Exploited’s website that future names to be released on Exploited Ghetto are PJU & Earl Grey as well as Martin Waslewski.
We’re thrilled to see Mennie taking the stage with his Phoenix EP, out on Exploited Ghetto digitally on the 19th of January. For a sneak preview, click play below.
