After Few Nolder, Italian fellow Lehar aka Lorenzo Esposito is the second new signing for Connaisseur Recordings this year. Apart from his residency at the CIRQ club in Venice and regular bookings at some of the best clubs and parties in Italy and Malta, Lehar truly is a very talented producer as well. Some of you might have heard the free download for Lehar’s remix of Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s classic “Tristesse“ which has caused some attention on him the past weeks.
Together with his demo he delivered an accompanying remix in Connaisseur’s mailbox, a remix by his friend and one of the hottest producers of the moment: Mario Basanov (mix/interview). XY is the first track on Lehar’s release. With it’s continuously rising atmosphere, its demanding groove and catchy chords, this tune is an absolute guarantor for proper dancefloor mayhem.
Sargas on the other hand, is slightly more subtle and dominated by a spooky and mysterious atmosphere. A totally deep and alluring affair peaking in a string-driven break.
On the flip-side you will find Mario Basanov’s remix of Sargas, delivering his own amazing interpretation, with a sound that does remind the listener of his style, but on the other hand throws in so much creativity that makes it hard to tell at the same time. Earlier this year, this version already accidentally ended up in a podcast and since then there has been a massive buzz around the track. Mario formed a massive bomb nobody can resist out of the deepness of Sargas.
