Amsterdam’s favorite foray into the more spiritual side of electronic music, The Gardens of Babylon (TGoB), celebrates their one year anniversary with a full on Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) programme filled with intimacy, good music and trademark mindfulness.
Kicking off and ending on a group meditation setting organized by spiritual guides The Dreaming, The Gardens of Babylon will also bring two world class showcases to town before a full on, all day takeover of WesterUnie featuring the extended musical family. First off, on 19 October, Miami’s mature nightlife institution Do Not Sit on the Furniture travels with their head honcho Behrouz, San Francisco’s Atish, and the traveling nomad NU. The most mysterious event of the program will occur in a secret Amsterdam location from 11pm until well into the day. On 21 October, Claire will host an intimate, early evening affair with California’s Sol Selectas imprint. For the ride comes the labels boss DJ Sabo, alongside live performances from KMLN and Amentia, while TGoB’s unders and DHA favorite Kora also join.

Finally, it all comes to a head on 22 October with The Seekers of Light, a three room, all day takeover. With a full TGoB program planned, travel through The Tree of Life, The Dark Forest, and The Gardens of Babylon as the electronic jungle of ADE comes to a close. Live performances come from Jan Blomqvist, Kerala Dust, Monolink, and Satori, while DJ performances come from heavy hitters like Audiofly, Behrouz, Blond:ish, DJ Three and Damian Lazarus, while favorites like Akasha, Britta Unders, Chaim, Chris Schwarzwalder, DJ Isis, Jacob Groening, Kora, Kraut, YokoO, and Yor Kultura round things out.
