Haitian DJ Creates Wooden DIY DJ Controller

We live in a time where you don’t need much to DJ. You just need your computer, the right software and a controller. But what if you can’t get hold of a controller that easily?

Haitian DJ Fredly Rosilme wanted one and you can say he’s a true visionary. He decided to make a controller out of wood and wires and the end result actually works. On the one hand it is an amazing idea to have a controller made out of wood when living in a world where everything else is made out of plastic. On the other hand it is just inspiring how someone simply follows his dreams and makes an controller from wood and wires to fulfill his dream of having a controller to DJ.

The fact that Fredly was able to build a controller out of parts that other people might throw away shows how talented he is. Imagine what he could do if he had access to new materials. So don’t take the luxury of being able to order a functioning controller from the internet and having it the next day at home for granted. Check out the video to learn more about his story (video is in French).
